Baby Bottle Update

There are no glass baby bottles available, I have searched everywhere, and they seem to be sold out, everywhere. This story is scary and obviously has hit a nerve. Are we, as a society of parents, unnecessairily panicking? I don’t think so. The scary thing is that 100 years after Upton Sinclair wrote The Jungle, the scathing review of immigrants and the Chicago meat packing industry-which sighted rats crawling over the meat, sound like a recent new’s story?–we have been lulled into believing that the government will protect us. I hate to say it, I want to believe that our government is there to enrich life, but I think the proof points to a group of people out for their and their friends gain, let all the rest of us be damned. The thing I don’t understand is don’t they have children? I mean I realize every lawmaker is not aware of everything going on, but still the system they have created, which seems to be based around corrupt money, is causing these things. I don’t mean to insert my “left-wing liberal bias”, but all I can think is caveat emptor. There is no protection, and the more we allow ourselves to be lulled into a false sense of security, the less there will be.
